Olivia Munn - in den USA bereits seit einiger Zeit ein Star - dürfte mittlerweile auch bei uns dem ein oderen anderen ein Begriff sein. Den meisten wahrscheinlich wegen ihrer FHM Fotostrecke. Olivia auf ihr unbestritten gutes Aussehen zu reduzieren wäre allerdings falsch. Sie ist Schauspielerin (Iron Man 2), Moderatorin (Attack of the Show), Comedian (The Daily Show), Blogger (oliviamunn.com) und beschäftigt sich gern mit Spielkonsolen. Außerdem ist sie fasziniert von Technikspielzeug jeder Art.

Und weil das alles noch nicht genug ist, hat sie auch noch ein Buch mit dem Titel “Suck It, Wonder Woman! – The Misadventures Of A Hollywood Geek” geschrieben.

Olivia erzählt in dem Buch Anekdoten aus ihrem Leben in Hollywood, dem Anfang ihrer Karriere, sowie aus ihrer Schulzeit und gibt “Tips” die nicht ganz ernst gemeint sind. Einige der der Kurzgeschichten sind lustig, andere stimmen eher traurig aber alle sind von einem trockenen und bissigen Humor geprägt.

“Suck It, Wonder Woman!: The Misadventures of a Hollywood Geek” war für mich ein kurzweiliger und unterhaltsamer Lesepaß, bei dem ich durchaus einige Male laut lachen musste. Und die Rückseite des Covers… naja… seht ihr ja selbst.
